Subletting Rules

When you have lived at Tietgenkollegiet for six months, you can apply for permission to
sublet your flat, for instance in connection with studies abroad or at educational institutions
outside Greater Copenhagen, illness or temporary suspension of studies for other reasons.

Subletting is only allowed for a maximum of six months within a 12-month period calculated
from the start of the previous subletting period.

Subletting is organised by Tietgenkollegiet’s administration, and subtenants must be active
students. Subtenants must meet the same study activity requirements as other residents.
Application forms for permission to sublet can be obtained from the administration.

If you are studying elsewhere for more than six months, you can apply for so-called ”readmission”– you will then be given priority on the waiting list, if any, when you return to your original place of study, for instance at the end of a period of studies. ”Readmission” is only possible if there is a vacant flat when you apply – in other words, you are not guaranteed a flat, but you do receive priority on any waiting list, as already mentioned.
