Visit Tietgenkollegiet

Since the official opening of Tietgenkollegiet in May 2007 the building has attracted much attention from both the media, architects, and the general public, resulting in an increasing demand for guided tours around the building. The Visit Committee was founded in the end of 2007 in order to fulfil this demand.

We offer visitors a chance to see the student residence from both the outside and the inside. The duration of such a tour is normally around 1 hour, and it includes a presentation of a kitchen, a communal room (living room) and one of the residents’ room. The guide will provide information about both the architecture (construction, materials, rooms etc.) and the everyday life at Tietgenkollegiet.

The tours are conducted by members of the Visit Committee who are all residents at Tietgenkollegiet, and who share an interest in the building as well as architecture in general. The tour programme has been developed with kind assistance from the architects at Lundgaard & Tranberg.

The fee for a guided tour for groups up to 25 persons is DKK 500,-. Tours for bigger groups can also be arranged.
